Bhuvana- Psychotherapist in her 50s, India

What initially brought you to therapy?

As a part of the Bodynamics practitioner's training, it is mandatory for the participants to take personal therapy sessions. That's how I started having sessions with Mr Tuk.

What do you appreciate about the way I work?

Your presence and ability to connect the dots and your choice of words as affirmations have been very supportive to me.

Is there anything in particular that helped you grow or see things differently?

One of the big take aways for me was when you said that we can be present to what's happening inside of us and also around us fully and it need not be 50/50. That was a real eye opener that our sense of perception need not be limited by percentages/numbers.

How do you feel therapy has made a difference in your life?

I have been having challenges with presenting myself in front of a group and I am taking steps to work through this.

Can you share how you experience the way I support you in finding a clear focus or goal in therapy ?

You always start with the context I am coming from and then very gently lead the session towards the goal we have agreed to work towards, and this gives a sense of time and space without feeling pushed.
You have helped me break down the goal into smaller steps, in an embodied way. Being really gentle and patient with me and not pushing me has helped me to stay focused.

How do you experience the process of transferring the insights or changes from therapy into your everyday life?

My perception about myself is changing and I am  able to present myself in groups with more confidence.

If someone were unsure whether to start therapy or work with me – what would you tell them?

Sessions with Tuk would be a gift you would be giving yourself, and you have the right to receive it.

Do you feel that I come prepared and create a clear, caring, and constructive frame around our sessions?

Hundred percent yes.
